U 9s, two games away from third spot.

Idle Juniors 2 West Lane 1. In a very close fort game West Lane took the lead in the first half. Again in the second half Idle Started to play some lovely football, Finley Power (man of the match) was just to good for Lanes defence & kept on creating Chance's for his strike partners Lee Hampson & Joe Lew----who up till now had left there goal scoring boots at home. Lane on the counter attack could have sealed the points but for a great save from goalkeeper Leo Payne who dived to his right & tip the ball round the post. After that things had to change so left back Robin Wagstaff made way for another forward 3ft giant Spencer Tallant. 10 min left on the clock & Idle got a corner, guess what , no your wrong, it was Jamie Broom the central defender who got the equaliser. Then in the very last minute Joe Lew---- went on one of his runs & fired the ball into the back of the net & the home ground went wild all 10 of them. no just joking there was 11. OK his proper names Joe Lewyckyi he's only 8 & if you get the chance to watch him do, he's great. Lee |
